1. What is mold rapping?

When the customer confirms the sample, we will use the plaster mold for proofing as the master mold. After the master mold is electroplated with copper, the mold for production is made according to a certain number and position.

2. Type of Mold

Conventional molds are divided into three types: plaster molds, copper molds, and aluminum molds.

Among them, the plaster mold is mainly used for proofing, and generally cannot be used for mass production. Its production time is generally 24 hours.

The copper mold is a layer of copper electroplated on the plaster mold to enhance the strength and wear resistance. The cost of this mold is not high, and it is the most commonly used mold for production. The production cycle of copper molds is generally 100 hours, at least 3 days, and the service life is about 100,000. 

Aluminum molds can be made when the number of products reaches more than 1 million.

The aluminum mold is made of pure aluminum, which is expensive and needs to be machined. The general mold making time is 3 days. The aluminum mold has good production quality, fast heat dissipation, high product precision and long service life.

If the customer requires the product to be precise, and the copper mold cannot meet the accuracy requirements, the aluminum mold must be used even if the quantity is small.
